What is Therapeutic Yoga?

Yoga Therapy meets you where you are

Therapeutic & Accessible Yoga for Every Body and Every Stage of Life

Yoga is for you

Movement is for everyone and no one should feel left out but sometimes it is difficult to find the right fit for you. My ultimate goal is for you to feel safe physically and emotionally, meeting you exactly where you are today. Therapeutic yoga is unique because it understands what your strengths are areas of growth are. I take time with each individual to really understand who they are. As a former Special Education teacher who worked in High Schools, I know the importance of building a relationship to build trust.

Why Therapeutic Yoga is needed

Many people are excluded from traditional wellness spaces due to ability, age, trauma, history, or health conditions. Therapeutic yoga creates space for those who are often left out.

This practice is especially beneficial for:

  • People with physical, developmental, or intellectual disabilities
  • Seniors or older adults
  • Individuals experiencing chronic pain, stress, or illness
  • People navigating anxiety, emotional disregulation, or burnout
  • Students and adults who benefit from structured sensory and nervous system support

Therapeutic yoga supports:

  • Emotional regulation and self-soothing
  • Balance, mobility, and functional movement
  • Body awareness and confidence
  • Stress reduction and nervous system health
  • A sense of agency and belonging
